DIXON - Virginia E. White, 89, passed away suddenly on Oct. 9, 2019 at Katherine Shaw Bethea Hospital in Dixon.
Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 18 at Faith Lutheran Church, 14206 E. Flagg Road with Pastor Joy Alsop officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Oct. 18 immediately prior to the service. Burial will be at Trinity Memory Gardens.
Virginia was born June 11, 1930 in Troy Grove at her grandmother’s farm home to Rudolph A. and Lola I. (Klinefelter) Gromann. She married Frank J. White on June 6, 1954 in Mendota. He preceded her in death on Oct. 22, 1996.
Survivors include three children, Karla (Ron) Williams of Minnetonka, Minn., Karen (Tony) Ayala of Rochelle and Steve (Jodie) White of Cloquet, Minn.; nine grandchildren, Nicholas (Deborah Ann) White, Caitlan Ayala, Keisha Williams, Hannah (Jacob) Hamalian, Meagann (fiancé Derek Stultz) Ayala, Shanisse (Dakota Martin) Williams, Emma White, Lydia (fiancé Les Jacob) White and A.J. (Katie Schoenborn) Ayala; and two great-grandsons, Leo Ayala and Theodore Martin.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and three brothers, Donald, Harold and Rudolph Gromann Jr.
Virginia was a member of the Rochelle Hospital Auxiliary and an active member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Mendota. Once she moved to Rochelle, she became a faithful, enthusiastic member of Faith Lutheran Church.
