Village discusses several topics

Paw Paw Village Board held a regular meeting on Dec. 11.

A thank you note and donation was received from the Marigolds for use of the Community Center.

A thank you note was received from the Library for the donation made by the Village to the Pilcrow Program Grant money. The Pilcrow Foundation’s mission is to provide new, quality hardcover children’s books to rural public libraries across the United States. The Pilcrow Program Grant was used to purchase $1,200 in new children’s books.

A homeowner received a second notice about a derelict vehicle, and has replied that the vehicle will be in compliance by the end of this week. If non-compliant, a lien will be placed against the house.

The Village will be posting a notice seeking a second full-time employee. Applications must be received by Jan. 6, 2020.

A “NO OUTLET” sign will be installed at the entrance to the Brookside subdivision, at the corner of Peru Street and Brookside Drive.

The former Two Paws Pub & Grill will be opening soon under new ownership as Beaver Den Tavern & Grill.
