OGLESBY - Soil and water interactions will be the focus of a Soil and Water Management live webinar sponsored by University of Illinois Extension. The workshop will take place on Tuesday, Feb. 20 at U of I Extension on the IVCC campus in Oglesby.
Presentations will be delivered via PowerPoint and web conferencing from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Lunch will be provided.
Duane Friend, U of I Extension Educator said those attending will hear about the latest University of Illinois research on soil erosion and how extreme weather affects nutrient transport. Other presenters from Purdue, Georgia and Missouri will discuss cover crop selection, soil microbes, and soil health tests.
Certified Crop Advisors will receive 4.5 continuing education units in Soil and Water Management by attending.
The seminar will be held in Room CTC 124 at IVCC from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Program materials and lunch are included in the $45 registration fee. Advance registration is required by Feb. 19.
