U of I Extension offers program on Gardening For Birds

OTTAWA - The fall series of the Four Seasons Gardening Program from the University of Illinois Extension will conclude with a session titled “Gardening For Birds.”

If you plant it, they will come. This is not just a program with a plant list, but rather a thoughtful way to incorporate birds and all their joy into your garden. Join Peggy Doty, Extension Educator, to consider not only the bird’s needs, but also the needs of you, your family, children or grandchildren, pets, and of course the current plants in your garden.

This program will be offered via a live webinar at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 3 at the following University of Illinois Extension Offices: LaSalle County in Ottawa, Bureau County in Princeton and Marshall-Putnam counties in Henry. This webinar may also be viewed from wherever there is internet access by pre-registering at go.illinois.edu/4seasons_webinars. Recorded videos of these sessions can be viewed following the program at go.illinois.edu/fourseasonsrecordings. This is the final session of the fall series.

Each session is free to the public. Advance registration is needed. Phone or e-mail the LaSalle County Extension office for more details at (815) 433-0707, or e-mail Extension Program Coordinator Meg Overocker at [email protected]
