LA SALLE - Free amplified phones are available for Illinois residents who are deaf/hard-of-hearing. Illinois Valley Center for Independent Living (IVCIL) in LaSalle will hold an open house on Monday, March 11 from 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. to test a free amplified phone. In addition, mini cell phone amplifiers are available.

Interested individuals should call (815) 224-3126 to schedule an appointment or request an application form. To qualify, an individual must be a resident of Illinois, have a certified hearing loss and have an active land line or cell phone service. There are no age or income restrictions.
