SENECA – Mendota won two of four games and finished in fifth place in the Seneca Thanksgiving Tournament.
The Trojans started with a 52-46 loss to Hall on Nov. 22.
Mendota led 25-19 at the half and 38-31 after three quarters, but Hall came back to outscore the Trojans, 21-8, in the fourth frame to pull out the win.
Izaiah Nanez (16) and Rafael Romero (12) hit double digits in scoring for Mendota.

Mendota held off Somonauk in round two, 66-65, on Nov. 23.
The Trojans trailed 25-23 at intermission, but poured in 26 third-quarter points to grab a 49-44 lead heading to the final frame.
Mendota had a balanced scoring attack, led by Owen Aughenbaugh with 16 points. Cale Strouss fired in five three-pointers for 15 points, while Nanez had 14 and Romero added 13.

Seneca cruised past the Trojans, 70-42, on Nov. 25.
The host school sprinted out to a 25-10 advantage after the opening stanza and led 37-18 at the break.
Nanez paced Mendota with 21 points, hitting seven shots from three-point range. Aughenbaugh dropped in eight points.

Mendota won the fifth-place game over Herscher, 48-36, on Nov. 26.
The Trojans were in control from the opening tip, taking an 18-7 lead after one period and owning a 27-16 margin at intermission.
Romero led the way with 16 points, followed by Isaac Guzman with 10 and Cale Strouss with eight.
