MOLINE – The Mendota Trojans will participate in the Rock Island (Alleman) Class 2A Regional Baseball Tournament. The Trojans are the fourth seed in the sub-sectional.
Port Byron (Riverdale) and Kewanee (Wethersfield) will open the tournament on Monday, May 14. The winner of that game will advance to meet Rock Island (Alleman) in the semifinals on Wednesday, May 16. The Trojans will battle Prophetstown in the other semifinal game on Thursday, May 17 at 5 p.m.
The semifinal-round winners will meet for the regional championship at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 19. Semifinal- and final-round games will be played at the Alleman Athletic Complex, 1186 43rd Ave., Moline.
The winner of the Alleman Regional will advance to the Fulton Sectional to meet the champion of the Oregon Regional on Wednesday, May 23. The other sectional participants will come from the Princeton and Byron regionals.

3 – (4) Mendota vs. (5) Prophetstown [Coop] – 5 p.m.
Saturday, May 19
4 – Winner Game 2 vs. Winner Game 3 – 11 a.m.
