MENDOTA – The Mendota Trojans will have five home football games during the 2019 season.
The Trojans will open the campaign by traveling to Poplar Grove to take on North Boone in a Big Northern Conference game on Friday, Aug. 30. The following week will be their first of five home contests when they entertain Winnebago for a BNC battle. Other home games will be against Rockford Lutheran, Byron, Stillman Valley and Oregon.
All nine games will be Big Northern Conference contests.
The Trojans will be under the guidance of second-year head coach Keegan Hill.
Varsity games will kick off at 7 p.m. If a junior varsity game is played on Friday night prior to the varsity contest, it will begin at 5 p.m. If the JV game is played the following Monday, the kickoff will be at 5 p.m.
The complete 2019 football schedule is as follows:
Aug. 30 – at North Boone – 7 p.m.
Sept. 6 – Winnebago – 7 p.m.
Sept. 13 – Rockford Lutheran – 7 p.m.
Sept. 20 – at Genoa-Kingston – 7 p.m.
Sept. 27 – at Dixon – 7 p.m.
Oct. 4 – Byron (Homecoming) – 7 p.m.
Oct. 11 – Stillman Valley – 7 p.m.
Oct. 18 – at Rock Falls – 7 p.m.
Oct. 25 – Oregon – 7 p.m.
