Trackmen compete in Winnebago Invite

WINNEBAGO – The Mendota boys’ track team went up against seven other schools in the Winnebago Invitational on May 6.

The Trojans scored 27 points and finished in seventh place. Galena (144.5) edged out Winnebago (137.5) for the top spot.

Anthony Kelson turned in Mendota’s best performance when he ran a time of 46.68 for second place in the 300-meter hurdles. Kelson claimed fourth place in the 110-meter hurdles (19.49) and Travis Mumm was fourth in the 3200-meter run (15:36.66).
