BRADENTON, Fla. - Timothy William Lubbs, 49, formerly of Mendota, passed away Nov. 3, 2019 in Florida where he resided.
The family will have two celebrations of life, one in Florida and another in Mendota. Arrangements are being handled by the Maloney Funeral Home in Sarasota, Fla.
Tim was born Dec. 3, 1969 in Mendota to Dean and Susan Lubbs.
Surviving and left to cherish his memory are his wife, Sandy; four children, Alex Lubbs, Codey (Casey) Butler, Kayla Butler and Taylor Butler; his parents, Dean and Susan Lubbs of Mendota; one sister, Michele (Jim) Meyer; mother- and father-in-law, Lynn and Gloria Jarvis; two grandchildren, Weston and Macy Butler; one nephew, Brett (Cassandra) Meyer; and one niece, Dr. Bria Meyer.
Tim attended grade school and high school in Mendota, graduating with the class of 1988. He moved to Florida 20 years ago and currently resided with his wife, Sandy, and their family in Bradenton. He was employed as the materials manager in the Surgery Department at Doctors Hospital in Sarasota. He enjoyed all sports, especially watching his son’s football games at Parrish Community High school where he also served as the announcer for football games. He was also a longtime, respected umpire for baseball and softball in the Florida area. Most importantly, Tim loved his family and he always held them first in his life. He was an amazing father, husband, and all around great man. He was giving and loving, always trying to make a difference for those he so dearly cared for, including family and friends. Tim and Sandy attended Bayside Community Church. He will be greatly missed by those who knew him.
