MENDOTA – The American Red Cross held a blood drive on Tuesday, March 5 at the Mendota Moose Family Center. The goal for the day was 55 and there were 66 good units collected. There were 52 whole blood donations and 14 double red cell donations. There were two first time donors, Tyler Meloy and Aaron Elston and, Mel Harth reached the 15 gallon mark.

Several volunteers helped the day run smoothly. They were Paddy Schwemlein, Deb Mahaffey, Margy Frey, Pat Klaffer, Peg Mathesius-Cerveny, Luci Phalen, Sandy Schroeder, Kristi Carroll and Lori Simonton. First State Bank sponsored the BBQ, egg salad sandwiches and all the extras. Mendota Subway once again donated sandwiches for the donor luncheon.
