MENDOTA – Eureka Savings Bank has joined with other Mendota businesses and industries to help make Mendota’s upcoming Sweet Corn Festival the best ever. They are one of the Festival’s major sponsors, who will be helping to bring first class entertainment to the 70th Annual Mendota Sweet Corn Festival. Eureka Savings Bank of Mendota is sponsoring the 144th Army Jazz Combo of the Illinois Army National Guard to entertain during intermission of the Sweet Corn Queen Pageant on Friday evening, Aug. 11. These talented musicians are stationed in Springfield and are a unique group of soldiers who play 35 to 50 events a year.
Eureka Savings Bank reminds everyone to bring their lawn chairs and enjoy some great Jazz, and of course, the evening’s highlight event, the 2017 Festival Queen Pageant, which will begin at 7:30 p.m. on the main stage on Rt. 34 downtown.
