SPEAKER IN SUBLETTE

Mick Hartley of Mendota will be the speaker at the Sublette Memorial Day Service to be held at 11 a.m. Monday, May 30 in front of Ellice Dinges Center.

Hartley grew up in Compton. He is a member and past commander of Mendota VFW Post 4079. He served in Vietnam in 1969 and 1970.

Poths Lavelle American Legion will give the presentation of colors and perform the firing of the volley. Larry Leffelman will be master of ceremonies.

MASS PLANNED

Father Randy Fronek will offer a Memorial Day Mass at 9:30 a.m. Monday, May 30 at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Sublette. Anyone attending may bring a lawn chair.

CRUISE RAINED OUT

Due to the all-day rain, only four cars were on display for Sublette’s Cruise ‘N Show on May 21.
