SUBLETTE — The Sublette Village Board agreed to a five-year contract with Test Inc., of Peru, for the village’s water maintenance and operations.
The board met during its monthly meeting on Monday, May 9, in the Ellice Dinges Center. All members were present except for Jeff Myers.
Sublette Village Trustee MacKenzie Belan presented the new contract to the board. The five-year contract will start July 1, and cost $22,765.56 for the first year, and increase by 3 percent per year, ending with a total of $25.622.67.
ITEMS SENT
TO COMMITTEE
The board sent a number of items to committee to be discussed this month. The first was Sublette Village Trustee Robert Bulfer got quotes to replace the railing downtown and to also replace the sidewalk. The second issue sent to committee was the contract between the Village of Sublette and the Amboy Wrestling Club. Belan told the board the contract was returned to the village, but the price written on the contract wasn’t the agreed upon amount. Sublette Village President John Stenzel said he was contacted by someone who wanted to make a contribution of a bike rack to the village. Stenzel said more information about where to place it is needed and sent the matter to committee to discuss.
The board’s committees discuss the matters and bring recommendations to the entire board for a vote.
APPOINTMENTS
The board approved Stenzel’s recommendations for appointments for the following year. The appointments include: Will Klein as village treasurer; Dana Considine from Ehrmann Gehlbach Badger and Considine as village attorney; Don Dinges as economic development director; Katie Leffelman as freedom of information officer; Chris Leffelman, Steve Althaus, Will Klein, Tyler Jackson, Greg Vaessen and Katie Leffelman to the Sublette Centennial Park Board; Hugh McCoy, Rich Klaser and Jeff Spitz to the Sublette Planning Commission; and Maurice Zimmerlein, Anthony Morgan, Matt Henkel, Jeremy Zapf, and Evan Bickett to the Sublette Antique Tractor and Toy Show Board.
