Strawberry jam making class offered by U of I Extension


LA SALLE - Enjoy summer produce all year long with a timely seasonal program on home canning and preserving safely at “Yes! You CAN: Strawberry Jam Class.” During class, participants will learn the basics of home canning and safety guidelines, gain hands-on canning experience, and take home the products prepared in class. Everyone will take home two jars of jam to enjoy. 

This class is great for those that are just learning as well as seasoned preservers. A $10 fee will cover the purchase of all supplies. Class size is limited to 12 adults. 

The class will meet in LaSalle at University of Illinois Extension Education Center & Community Teaching Kitchen, 944 First St. on Friday, June 21 from 9 a.m.-noon.
