EARLVILLE - Steven C. Botts, 64, of Earlville passed away Nov. 24, 2017 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 16 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 415 South East St., Earlville with Rev. Tammy Anderson officiating. Luncheon will follow the service in the church hall. Burial will be at Wisner Cemetery, Ophir Township. Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. on Saturday at the church.
Steven was born Feb. 3, 1953 in Mendota to Charles E. and Marilyn M. (Gast) Botts, Jr.
Survivors include his father of Earlville; two sisters, Wanda (Carl) Planthaber of Camanche, Iowa and Diane (Gary) Lampe of LaMoille; several nieces and nephews; and many close friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
Steven attended Earlville Schools and graduated with the class of 1971. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during the Vietnam War. He owned and operated Four Seasons Appliance and Furniture Store in Mendota and enjoyed helping his father on the family farm. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Earlville, Earlville American Legion (past commander), Mendota Elks Lodge 1212 and Mendota Moose Lodge. He enjoyed restoring jeeps and cars.
Memorials may be directed to the Earlville American Legion, Immanuel Lutheran Church or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
