MENDOTA – Mariyah Elam, 8th grader from Mendota Northbrook Middle School, qualified in high jump at the IESA 8-3A Sectional in Orion on May 13. State qualifying height is 4-9. Elam cleared 4-10 to take first place, sending her to the IESA State Track Meet in East Peoria on Saturday, May 20.
