MENDOTA – Sebastian Carlos, 2022 Northbrook Middle School graduate and 2022 IESA 400-meter dash state champion, admires the new sign placed at the entrances to Mendota signifying his state championship. He ran 53.98 seconds to win state in 2022 for Northbrook. As a freshman at Mendota High School this year, his personal best time was 51.74 seconds.
