LA SALLE - Opportunities to become involved in the production side of Stage 212’s 2019 season will be the focus of an upcoming director’s forum. The forum will take place at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 27 at the theater, 700 First St., LaSalle.

Plans for the theater group’s 2019 season will be discussed and all past, present and potential directors, producers and other production staff are welcome to participate. Stage 212 is looking to build on the success of their 2018 50th anniversary season and values the input of any interested parties.

For the 2019 season, the organization is looking for comedies/dramas for the winter and fall productions, a smaller musical for the spring production and a larger-scale musical for the summer production. They are also seeking an off-season play that is generally a bit more unique, typically has a small cast, that will attract new audiences.

Visitors to stage212.org will find a director’s resume and application available for download. Applications are due Feb. 15 and should be mailed to Stage 212, Inc., P.O. Box 198, LaSalle, IL 61301 or e-mailed to stage212@att.net. Arrangements may also be made to drop off an application at the Stage 212 box office by calling (815) 224-3025.

A final selection will be made for recommendation to the management committee of Stage 212 in March.

Stage 212 has been the Illinois Valley's community theater since 1968 and welcomes anyone interested in participating in a stage production, regardless of previous experience.
