PERU – This past Saturday, Fr. Ronald Margherio and Mrs. Karrie Damerell along with 10 students from St. Bede Academy, Macy Bosnich, Malcolm Roebuck, Braden Damerell, Luke Wamhoff, Claire Morrow, Kassidy Brady, Perla DeLatorre, Alexa Damerell, Kaelyn Condon and Ally Borkowski, participated in the 2018 Annual Penguin Plunge at Heritage Harbor in Ottawa.
This hearty group braved the cold and jumped into 27 degree water raising over $4,700 for the Make-A-Wish of Illinois foundation. The St. Bede team took second place overall for the school that raised the most charitable funds.
