MENDOTA – The Mendota Spikers were beaten in a pair of home matches last week.

The Spikers hosted Sterling Newman on Sept. 13 and suffered a 25-16, 25-20 setback in Three Rivers Conference play. Mendota is 1-3 in conference play.

Reanna Brant led the squad with seven kills and Madelyn Becker collected eight assists. Lily Leifheit and Katie Jenner supplied 11 and nine digs, respectively.

Sandwich downed the Spikers, 25-19, 25-12 in nonconference action on Sept. 14 at the MHS gym.

Mendota has a 3-8 overall record.
