MENDOTA – The Mendota Spikers made short work of Hall, taking out the Lady Devils in straight sets, 25-20, 25-8, on April 5 at the MHS gym.

Paige Manning and Jaelyn Fitzgerald controlled the net with six and five kills, respectively. Ella Massey ignited the offense with 19 assists, while the defense was paced by Jenna O’Donnell with 16 digs and Massey with nine digs.

Mendota and Genoa-Kingston went to the limit and the Spikers prevailed, 24-26, 26-24, 25-22, on April 6 at the MHS gym.

Marah Setchell led the attack at the net with nine kills, followed by Reanna Brant with eight, and Lauren Martin and Fitzgerald with six apiece. Hitting double digits in digs were O’Donnell (25), Massey (15) and Martin (10), while Massey accumulated 25 assists and Martin recorded three ace serves.

The Spikers needed only two sets to knock off St. Bede, 25-21, 25-20, on April 7 at the MHS gym.

Fitzgerald swatted 13 kills to pace the squad as Massey helped set her up with 17 assists. Topping Mendota in digs were O’Donnell (13), Massey (9) and Elly Buettner (9), while Buettner had four ace serves and Brant picked up three blocks.
