Mendota is still searching for its first Big Northern Conference win after Stillman Valley topped the Spikers, 25-20, 25-17, in a league match on Oct. 3 at Stillman Valley.
Myah Boelk had a fine all-around contest with five kills, four service points and nine digs for the Spikers. Jaelyn Fitzgerald led the team with six kills, while Ella Massey provided six assists and Reiss Buettner added five assists.
Mendota is 0-7 in league matches.

After a long drought, the Spikers got back into the win column with a 25-23, 25-17 triumph at Plano on Oct. 5.
Boelk paced the squad with seven kills and seven digs, while Abby Phalen collected five kills and six digs, and Alex Barrera delivered five kills and 11 service points. Buettner and Massey had eight assists apiece.
Mendota’s overall record is 4-19-2.
