OTTAWA – The LaSalle County Genealogy Guild will meet on Saturday, Oct. 20 at 1 p.m., 115 W. Glover St., Ottawa. The speaker will be Char McGrath. McGrath is a member of the LaSalle County Genealogy Guild. Her presentation will be on the 1694 Groton, Mass. ambush and massacre by the Abenaki Nation Indians.
The William and Deliverance Longley family was composed of eight children of which three of the children were taken hostage. William Longley was a brother to her 7th great-grandmother, Lydia.
