Chilly winter weather accompanied the snow that blanketed the ground around Lake Mendota, Dec. 29. But the freezing temperatures were not enough to keep sledding enthusiasts from zooming down the berm. The trio had been waiting for a snowfall since they arrived earlier in the month to visit family. (Reporter photo by Jennifer Sommer)
