PRINCETON - University of Illinois Extension Unit 8 is offering a Small Engine SPIN (Special Interest) Club beginning on Saturday, Feb. 3. The club will meet each month through May from 10–11:30 a.m. The meetings will take place at the Princeton Arts Academy, 230 Backbone Road, Princeton.
Participants in the SPIN Club will explore small engine theory including identifying the parts of an engine, different oil grades, and much more. Over the duration of this club, participants will also disassemble and re-assemble a small engine. Members are encouraged, but not required, to bring their own small engine during designated hands-on meetings.
Club membership is open to Bureau, LaSalle, Marshall and Putnam county youth ages 8 to 18. Current 4-H members’ enrollment is free; for non-members, the enrollment fee is $20. Registration will be open through Monday, Jan. 22 at https://web.extension.illinois.edu/registration/?RegistrationID=17714.
