Shots fired in downtown Mendota

MENDOTA – Mendota police officers were dispatched to the 700 block of Jefferson Street at 2:26 a.m. Aug. 4 for a disturbance and possible gunshots.

Upon arrival, officers found that two suspects had fled the scene in a dark colored SUV with unknown Arizona registration. It has been determined that gunshots were fired and at least two shots struck a building in the 700 block of Jefferson St. No one was injured in the incident.

All calls made to the Crime Stoppers are anonymous and rewards up to $1,000 will be paid for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the subjects responsible.
