MENDOTA - Shirley P. Ulis, 91, of Mendota passed away Feb. 14, 2018 at Heritage Health, Mendota.
Cremation rites were accorded. Services and burial were private. The family was assisted by Schwarz Funeral Home, Mendota.
Shirley was born June 15, 1926 in Seneca to George and Elva (Bell) Coleman. She married Max Ulis. He preceded her in death on April 18, 2007.
Survivors include two sons, Michael (Diane) Ulis of Oglesby and David (Sarah) Ulis of Blaine, Wash.; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Carol (Randy Poncher) McCullough of Spokane, Wash. and Darlene (Richard) Baughman of Wisconsin Dells, Wis.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one brother, George Coleman; and one sister, Dorothy Barnes.
Shirley graduated from Northern Illinois University in 1971. During her career she worked in the office for the United States Procurement Center.
