PAW PAW – The Village of Paw Paw held a board meeting on Nov. 13.
It was noted that Fresh Mart new hours are 3-7 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m.-7 p.m. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
Residents are reminded that after a two-inch snowfall, there is no parking allowed on Chicago Road between Chapman and Seventh Streets between 3-5 a.m. Please use the community parking lot, so that the main street may be cleared efficiently.
One pump has been repaired, and one replaced, at Wabansi.
The railroad ties have been installed at Rogers Park, completing the park’s remodeling.
A new park bench has been installed with funds donated by the Beck Family in memory of Marshall Beck.
A lien has been placed on a property in the village for unpaid water bills.
Residents have been using the new online method of paying for water bills.
A zoning permit was issued for a new roof install.
With the coming 2020 Federal Census, residents are reminded that if they spend part of the year in other locations, they still should fill out the form to reflect that Paw Paw is their primary residence. This will effect the monies available for the area from federal, state and county resources.
NiCor meters are going to be enhanced, no more estimated gas bills. Please be aware that NiCor workers may be on your property.
The annual tax levy was approved, allowing our village to request appropriation of needed funds from the County for the 2019-2020 fiscal year.
