OGLESBY - Expand your knowledge base by attending a free seminar that will explore one of the current questions of the day, “What is Democratic Socialism?”
This free seminar is open to the public and will be held at noon on Wednesday, Sept. 5 at the IVCC Oglesby campus in building CTC, room 124. The seminar will explore the history of democratic socialism, its ideology, and most importantly, the relevance to current American politics.
The seminar and discussion will be led by Ramsin Canon, an attorney with Canon Law Group, Aldertrack, LLC, and Jared Oleson, sociology instructor at IVCC. Attorney Canon is a graduate of the University of Illinois at Chicago and Chicago-Kent College of Law. His practice specializes in labor and employment law. Oleson holds Masters and PhD degrees from the University of California, Irvine.
