School board announces reduction in force

PAW PAW — Paw Paw School Board held a special meeting on March 25. Due to the deactivation of the high school, it is necessary for the board to notify staff employed in the high school of reduction in position and/or hours. Reduction in force notices will be sent to the following: Eve Phillips, high school guidance counselor and Dean of Students; Kellen Irving, senior class sponsor; Blake Strong, high school Academic Bowl sponsor; Dawn Schmitt, student council sponsor; Jeff Svendsen, high school FFA sponsor; Emily Leoanhardt, high school freshman class sponsor; Bridget Disler, high school freshman class sponsor; Danielle Luetke, assistant high school musical director; Deanna Tausch, high school musical director; Erica Surges, National Honor Society sponsor; Keri Dahlki, junior class sponsor; Sandra Heiman, sophomore class sponsor; John Hoelzer, Worldwide Youth in Science and Engineering sponsor; Cara Cooper, junior class sponsor; and Jennifer Penman, junior class sponsor.

Reduction in work hours will also take place for Dawn Nicholson and Tammy Wiley, in the category of Cook, reducing work hours from five hours a day to four hours a day; and Kathy Lamb, in the category of Cook, hours reduced from two to one and one-half hours per day.

Eve Phillips was approved as Principal for the 2019-2020 school year.
