LA SALLE COUNTY - The LaSalle County Stockman’s Association will be awarding two $1,000 scholarships at their 2017 Harvest Rewards Banquet Nov. 21, 2017.
These scholarships will be awarded to applicants who are residents of LaSalle County or are members of a LaSalle County 4-H Club or graduates of or will graduate from a LaSalle County high school and are 17-23 years of age. They must also meet one of the following three criteria:
* Participated in livestock activities in 4-H or FFA and is pursuing higher education.
* Comes from a background of livestock production and is pursuing higher education.
* Pursuing higher education in livestock production or animal husbandry.
All applications must have a postmark no later than Friday, June 9. Please mail to: La Salle County Stockman’s Association, P.O. Box 853, Streator, IL 61364. Questions may be directed to Dave Isermann at (815) 673-1151.
Applications are available from local high school FFA advisors and guidance counselors, junior college ag advisors, LaSalle County 4H Club leaders and on the LaSalle County Stockman’s Association Facebook page.
The mission of the LCSA is to enhance and promote the livestock industry in La Salle county by uniting producers, consumers, and the agriculture sector while establishing and promoting family and youth livestock activities within the county.
