MENDOTA - Sandra S. (Streit) Foster, 70, of Mendota passed away Oct. 26, 2018 at her daughter’s house in Peru.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 29 at the Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota. Burial will be private at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Maytown. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Oct. 29 at the funeral home.
Sandra was born Aug. 17, 1948 in Clinton, Iowa to Al and Lois (Sanders) Dierks. She married Richard Foster on Feb. 18, 1992 in Gig Harbor, Wash.
Survivors include her husband of Mendota; one son, Jason (Lynn) Streit of Amboy; two daughters, Wendy (Daniel) Haacker of Elburn and Michele (Michael) Fusinatto of Peru; a stepson, Scott Foster of Chicago; stepdaughter, Amanda (Troy) Chaon of Hayward, Wis.; four brothers, Al (Pam) Dierks of Clinton, Iowa; Tim Dierks of Spring Valley; Robert (Marlene) Milota of Davenport, Iowa and Joe (Sandy) Milota of Spring Valley; one sister, Ruth (Roy) Eubanks of Fairfield, Iowa; 11 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; one great-grandson; one sister-in-law, Sandi Milota; and her dog, Dolly.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Jon.
Sandra enjoyed her children and grandchildren and had a great sense of humor. She was a great cook, especially her oyster stew, and loved eating sweet corn.
