EARLVILLE - Sandra Jean Cockream, 84, formerly of Earlville, passed away July 28, 2018 at the Meadows Mennonite Retirement Community in Chenoa.

A memorial funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 1 at the United Presbyterian Church of Earlville with Pastor Del Keilman officiating. Memorial visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at the church. Interment of cremated remains will follow the service at Precinct Cemetery in Earlville.

Sandra was born Jan. 21, 1934 in Paw Paw to Harold and Eleanor (Hill) Torman. She married Richard Whittaker on Aug. 5, 1955. He preceded her in death in 1968. She then married Richard Cockream on June 4, 1972. He preceded her in death on Sept. 15, 2005.

Survivors include two daughters, Terrie (James P. Sanavaitis) Whittaker of Riverside and Cindy (Gregg) Russell of Pontiac; three step-children, Keith (Karen) Cockream, Kyle (Barbara) Cockream and Kay Cockream; one sister, Pat Stevens; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husbands; an infant son, Michael Whittaker; her parents; and two brothers, Robert (Janice) Torman and John Torman.

Sandra worked for CTS Knights Inc. in Sandwich for 38 years. After retirement, she was very active in the United Presbyterian Church of Earlville. She served on numerous committees, as a deacon, and sang in the church choir. She enjoyed reading, gardening and spending time with friends and family.
