This course provides hands-on practice in lifesaving techniques for young teens who are home alone, watching younger siblings, or babysitting. They will be equipped with the skills and confidence to act in an emergency. Participants will learn basic first aid, infant and child choking rescue, along with CPR.
The cost is $35 per child and the class size is limited. To register your son or daughter, call (815) 539-1411 weekdays or register for the course online at www.osfsaintpaul.org.
Each participant will need to bring a sack lunch to the class along with a sweatshirt. Juice and snacks will be provided. A brief Safe Sitter graduation ceremony will take place prior to 4 p.m. dismissal.
