MENDOTA - Rosey C. Duncan, 62, of Mendota passed away Dec. 29, 2018 at Methodist Hospital in Merrillville, Ind.
A graveside memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 12 at Bethel Cumberland Presbyterian Cemetery in Kevil, Ky. with Rev. Stewart Strickland officiating. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Jan. 12 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Paducah, Ky.
Rosey was born Sept. 16, 1956 in Aurora to Norman and Emily Rasnick. She married Danny D. Duncan. He preceded her in death after 38 years of marriage.
Survivors include two daughters, Caroline (Rob) Logan of Valparaiso, Ind. and Sabrina Dancy of Elizabethtown, Ky.; one son, James (Julie) Duncan of La Salle; two sisters, Darsey Qualkenbush and Patsey Rasnick; five grandchildren, Aubry Logan and Lucian Logan of Valparaiso, Ind., Dante Dancy of Earlville, Michael (Elizabeth) Dancy of Fort Hood, Texas and Alexyss Dancy of Elizabethtown, Ky.; her mother-in-law, Mary Duncan of Kevil, Ky.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents.
Rosey was of the Baptist faith. After earning a degree in electronics, she worked for B&B Smartworx for over 20 years. She is best remembered as being the wallflower of her family, quietly loving and caring for everyone in her life, especially her grandchildren. She also loved spending her free time baking and gardening.
