SUBLETTE - Rosamund G. Buckley, 83, a resident of Maple Crossing of Amboy, formerly of Sublette, died Jan. 16, 2018 at KSB Hospital in Dixon.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 20 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Sublette with Rev. Randy Fronek officiating. Burial will be at St. Michael Sandy Hill Cemetery, Sublette. Pallbearers will be her sons-in-law and grandsons. Visitation will be for one hour prior to services at the church on Jan. 20. Arrangements are through the Fiocchi-Jensen Funeral Home, Princeton.
Rosamund was born in Amboy to Cornelius T. and Gertrude (Batton) Garland. She married Francis J. Buckley on Nov 29, 1952 at St Patrick’s Church, Amboy. He preceded her in death.
Survivors include three sons, Stephen (Kim) of Palos Heights, Timothy (Debra) of West Allis, Wis. and Lawrence (Rose) of Sublette; two daughters, Trudy (Robert) Lahman of Amboy, and Bridgett (Ray) Drag of Shorewood; 15 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Richard (Leila) Garland of Sublette, Robert (Sue) Garland of Springfield and Ray (Doris) Garland of Sycamore; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, four sisters and three brothers.
Rosamund grew up in Amboy and graduated from Amboy High School in 1951. After her marriage, she and Francis lived in the Sublette/Amboy area most of their life. She worked at a variety of jobs over the years including Conco, Mendota Trouser Factory, Mendota Community Hospital, and Amboy Middle School before her retirement. She was a member of OLPH Church and a dedicated gardener.
