EARLVILLE - Robyn H. Bomstad, 64, of Earlville passed away peacefully Feb. 15, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with cancer.

EARLVILLE - Robyn H. Bomstad, 64, of Earlville passed away peacefully Feb. 15, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with cancer.

According to Robyn’s wishes, there will be no visitation and a private family memorial service will be held at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Earlville with Father Ghislain Inai S.M.A. officiating. Private burial of Robyn’s urn will follow at Precinct Cemetery, rural Earlville. Cremation was entrusted to Hanley-Turner-Eighner Funeral Home in Earlville.

Robyn was born March 24, 1956 in Mendota to Ernie and Dora (Whitlock) Russell. She married Don Bomstad on Dec. 16, 1972 in Earlville.

Survivors include her husband; three sons, Kevin (Heather) Bomstad of Earlville, Ryan (Layla) Bomstad of Plainfield and Adam (Amy) Bomstad of Shorewood; eight grandchildren, Colin, Carson, Hayden, Lana, Regan, Baize, Cayle and Pyper Bomstad; three brothers, Robert (Susan) Russell of Pontiac, Pat (Jane) Russell of Earlville and Gregg (Cindy) Russell of Pontiac; six sisters, Rusty (Mary Agnes) Russell of Chicago, Ernestine (Gerry) Tuftie of Flanagan, Anna (Charlie) Svendsen of Earlville, Rita Fox of Chicago, Joan Perkins of Earlville and Debbie Spears of Tucson, Ariz.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one granddaughter, Hadley Bomstad; and one brother, Jeff Russell.

Robyn was a 1974 graduate of Earlville High School and a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church in Earlville. She worked at CTS Knights Inc. in Sandwich for many years. Prior to her retirement, she worked at Somonauk High School. She enjoyed golfing, cooking, boating and spending time at the lake home in Tennessee. Most of all, she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
