PAW PAW - Robert “Sam” Lewis Edwards, 62, of Paw Paw found his freedom on July 1, 2017 at Rochelle Community Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 7 at the United Methodist Church of Paw Paw with Pastor Dave Holden officiating. Interment will follow at Wyoming Township Cemetery in Paw Paw. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, July 6 at United Methodist Church of Paw Paw.
Sam was born Feb. 15, 1955 in Mendota to John Franklin and Rita Mae (Keller) Edwards. He married Linda Hatley on Sept. 3, 1976 at the United Methodist Church of Paw Paw.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Ken Edwards and Robert J. (Amber) Edwards; one sister, Cindy Green; one brother, John Charles Edwards; his “seven little dwarves,” Kailey, Jordyn, Alyssa, JoDee, Alexandrea, Logan and Taylor; one nephew, Curtis A. Edwards; and one niece, Courtney (Shaun) Edwards.
Sam retired from Caterpillar after 20 years of service. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather who loved nothing more than spending time with his family in any way he could.
