SUBLETTE — Robert J. "Bob" Lauer, 58, of Sublette, died Friday, Dec. 22, 2017, at Royal Oaks Care Center in Kewanee following a long battle with Parkinson's Disease.
He was born April 14, 1959, in Mendota, the son of Elroy and Kathleen (Eiberger) Lauer.
He had worked as Assistant Manager for the Sublette Farmers Elevator for 20 years, and had also worked for Raynor Garage Doors in Dixon and Tate and Lyle in Sycamore. Bob was also a Tax Assessor for Sublette and May Townships in Lee County.
He was preceded in death by his mother, and a sister, Jeanne Esgar.
Survivors include four brothers, Jerome, Thomas, Martin, and Gary; five sisters, Susan, Linda, Lisa, Cathy Jo, and Brenda; his father, Elroy Lauer, of Amboy; and many nieces and nephews.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
At Bob's request, there will be no services or visitation. A memorial has been established to the Sublette Fire Department.
