MALTA - The Real Estate Broker pre-license class will be offered online through Kish this fall. The course will begin Sept. 1 and end on Nov. 20.

The class format will be a combination of online and virtual/live lecture plus interactive, online activities. The program will cover the fundamentals of real estate and prepare participants to sit for the Illinois state licensing exam. The cost of the program is $500.

The class will cover the 75-hour Broker Pre-License Topics and Applied Real Estate Principles. Topics will include real estate concepts, math, brokerage services, real property contracts, the Illinois Real Estate License Act of 2000, financing considerations, property management, fair housing, current information on the Truth in Lending Act (TILA) and Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA), and more.

The program instructor, Todd Burghardt, is a local managing broker/owner of a real estate firm and teaches both pre-license and continuing education. A graduate of the REALTOR Institute with the distinguished GRI designation, Burghardt is a nationally recognized certified instructor for the National Association of REALTORS and the current president of the HomeTown Association of REALTORS.
