OTTAWA - The LaSalle County Health Department announced Sheri Mayo of Midland, Texas as the winner of a quilt that was crafted and donated by the Cotton Cure of Hillsboro, Ore. Over $350 in quilt ticket sales will benefit LaSalle and Grundy County women in need of mammograms and Pap smears, who do not fall under the guidelines of our Illinois Breast and Cervical Cancer Program.
The goal of this program is to reduce mortality from breast and cervical cancer by offering screening services such as mammograms and pap smears.
