Quilt raffle to support screening services for women in need

OTTAWA – The LaSalle County Health Department recently announced the donation of a beautiful quilt, crafted by the Cotton Cure out of Hillsboro, Oregon. This quilt will be raffled off with the proceeds to benefit LaSalle and Grundy County women in need of mammograms and pap smears, who do not fall under the guidelines of our Illinois Breast and Cervical Cancer Program. Tickets for the quilt are available at the Health Department at 717 Etna Road, Ottawa, and are $1 for one ticket or $5 for six.

The goal of this program is to reduce mortality from breast and cervical cancer by offering screening services such as mammograms and pap smears. For more information regarding breast cancer and your health, make a donation to the program or to see if you qualify, contact the LaSalle County Health Department at (815) 433-3366, or visit their website at www.lasallecounty.org.
