MENDOTA - Come join the holiday fun at the next Quarter Auction to be held, Thursday, Dec. 14 at the Mendota Moose Lodge. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. and the auction will begin at 6:30 p.m.

Hosted by the Upper Illinois Valley Relay for Life team, all profits from the auction will benefit Relay for Life.  In addition to the auction, there will be a 50/50 drawing, bake sale, spectacular raffle baskets and merchandise vendor displays. Everyone is invited to finish up their holiday shopping with all of the great gift items that will be available that night in the auction.

The Moose Lodge will serve a limited a la carte supper menu, so attendees can shop and eat all at the same venue.

The Upper Illinois Valley Relay for Life will be held next year at Mendota Township High School on Saturday, July 14 beginning at 6 p.m.  A Survivor’s Dinner, catered by the Olive Garden, will be offered free of charge that same day for all survivors and their caregiver guest.  The dinner will begin at 4:30 p.m. in the high school cafeteria.

Relay for Life does not just fund cancer research. The American Cancer Society also provides free rides for cancer patients to their treatments, offers places for cancer patients to stay free near treatment hospitals, and they sponsor a free 24/7 helpline for support and information for all cancer patients.

Please join them on Dec. 14 at the Moose Lodge where you will be able to support a great cause, Relay for Life, and also complete your holiday shopping.
