Princeton Public Library announces upcoming activities


PRINCETON – The Princeton Public Library will host a variety of programs throughout June for all ages.

The Monday Movie will be held on Monday June 4 at 6:30 p.m. A retired C.I.A. reunites his unlikely team of elite operatives for a global quest.

Youth Services Storytime will be held on Tuesday, June 5 at 10:30 a.m.

Chicks with Sticks will meet on Wednesday, June 6 at 6:30 p.m.

A Wellness Workshop Part 2 of 2 will be held on Saturday, June 9 at 10 a.m.

Registration begins for Summer Reading Program begins Monday, June 11.

Summer Reading: Exploring New Worlds Art Program with Dan Laib will be held on Monday, June 11 at 2:30 p.m.

The Monday Movie will be held on Monday, June 11 at 6:30 p.m. An over 30 “professional student,” pursues a stolen artifact for “The Library.”

Youth Services Storytime: Imagination will be held on Tuesday, June 12 at 10:30 a.m.

The Great American Read - Adult summer reading kickoff program will be held on Tuesday, June 12 at 6:30 p.m.

Summer Reading: Movie and Craft Matinee will be held on Wednesday, June 13 at 2 p.m. Movie: A young stowaway and an old man travel in a home floating with balloons; Craft: Made-and-trade merit badges.

Widmark Wednesday will be held on Wednesday, June 13 at 6:30 p.m. A small-time grifter and nightclub tout takes advantage of some fortuitous circumstances.

Summer Reading: Grandma Goes to Antarctica (all ages) will be held on Thursday, June 14 at 2:30 p.m.

A card playing night will be held on Thursday, June 14 at 6:30 p.m.

Start of the Summer Reading Program begins Monday, June 18.

The Monday Movie will feature a young maiden who is prepared to be wed, is sent away to New York City by an evil queen. Movie will be shown on Monday, June 18 at 6:30 p.m.

Youth Services Storytime will be held at a special time and place on Tuesday, June 19 at 10 a.m. Frog and Toad and An Actor’s Life will be presented at Grace Performing Arts Center, Festival 56, 316 S Main St., Princeton.

A program on Vericomposting with Master Gardener Robbin Keenan will be held on Tuesday, June 19 at 6:30 p.m.

Youth Summer Reading Movie and Craft Matinee will be held on Wednesday, June 20. Movie: A young boy must locate a magical suit of armor worn by his late father; Craft: origami creatures and bugs.

Meet the Plays: Producing Director Tommy LaFrate presents the 2018 Festival 56 Kickoff on Thursday, June 21 at 6:30 p.m.

A smart phone class will be held on Monday, June 25 at noon.

Summer Reading: “Where Does it Come From?” will be held on Monday June 25 at 2:30 p.m.

The Monday Movie will feature a blogger who writes about her challenge to cook all the recipes in Julia Child’s first book. The movie will be shown on Monday, June 25 at 6:30 p.m.

Storytime: Berries will be held on Tuesday, June 26 at 10:30 a.m.

A music jam will be held on Tuesday, June 26 at 6:30 p.m.

Youth Summer Reading Movie and Craft Matinee will be held on Wednesday, June 27 at 2 p.m. Movie: Save the galaxy from the Empire’s world-destroying battle-station; Craft: Star Wars finger puppets.

Board Game Night will be held on Thursday, June 28 at 6:30 p.m.
