Princeton jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first inning, but Mendota responded with three runs in the top of the second to take a 3-2 lead. Joel Escatel, Jacob Stohr and Ted Landgraf each drove in a run in the frame.
The scored stayed that way until the Tigers tied it with a run in the bottom of the fourth, then Princeton tallied the eventual game-winner in the bottom of the sixth.
