MENDOTA - OSF HealthCare Saint Paul Medical Center President Dawn Trompeter has been named as one of the “70 Critical Access Hospital CEOs to Know - 2019” by Becker’s Hospital Review, an industry publication for healthcare industry leaders. The list of 70 hospital leaders are presidents and CEOs of organizations that regularly lead efforts in patient safety and quality healthcare.
According to the publication, these individuals hold an important role within their community, serving on corporate boards and state-level initiatives to improve access to care. Several have overseen hospital expansions, mergers and electronic health record implementations, as well as the construction of satellite clinics and strategic partnerships with local healthcare organizations.
“This recognition in the health care industry is a real honor to all of our Mission Partners!” Trompeter said. “Our Mission Partners care so much about the patients and families we serve. It’s a testament to the combined results of the hard work every Mission Partner on our team contributes to serving with the greatest care and love as we put patients first and raise the bar on performance each year.”
Trompeter became OSF Saint Paul’s president in January of 2018, assuming responsibility for aligning the organization with OSF HealthCare’s overall strategy while directing all internal operations. Previously, she served as vice president and CFO for Saint Paul Medical Center and OSF HealthCare Saint Elizabeth Medical Center in Ottawa.
This is the second year in a row Trompeter has received this recognition. As president, she has helped improve the patient experience results, employee engagement and quality of care all while reducing costs.
Jackie Kernan, President of OSF Healthcare Saint Luke Medical Center, Kewanee; Patty Luker, President of OSF HealthCare Holy Family Medical Center, Monmouth; and Dave Lord, President of OSF HealthCare St. Francis Hospital & Medical Group in Escanaba, Mich. were also named on the most recent Becker’s Hospital Review list of “Critical Access Hospital CEOs to Know.”
