Police arrest Mendota man for criminal sexual assault

MENDOTA – Bradley S. Thomas, 36, listed as homeless, was arrested at noon on Friday, July 7 and charged with a two-count class 1 felony arrest warrant for aggravated criminal sexual assault. The warrant was issued by the LaSalle County State’s Attorney’s Office.

Thomas is accused of allegedly committing an act of sexual penetration with a child under the age of 18 who is a family member. Thomas was transported to the Mendota Police Department for processing and then transferred to the LaSalle County Jail where he was remanded on $250,000/10 percent bail.

The arrest of Thomas was a cooperative effort between the LaSalle County State’s Attorney’s Office, Department of Children and Family Services, LaSalle County Child Advocacy Center and the criminal investigations unit of the Mendota Police Department.
