DEKALB – The Egyptian Theatre will present The High Kings, Beach Boys Tribute, Arlo Guthrie, and Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis Tribute Show this fall.

The High Kings

The High Kings will be live in concert on Saturday, Sept. 7 at 7:30 p.m.

Multiplatinum artists The High Kings return to the Egyptian Theatre by popular demand. The true heirs of Ireland’s folk heritage, The High Kings are internationally acclaimed singers of Irish folk songs. A quartet of accomplished musical pedigrees, the band first exploded onto the Irish folk music scene in 2008. They have sold out hundreds of shows in Ireland and the US, and appeared on numerous TV shows. The High Kings showcase their incredible versatility and skills as multi-instrumentalists, playing 13 instruments between the four of them, bringing a rousing acoustic flavor to brand new songs as well as old favorites. Their first ‘Best of’ Compilation ‘DECADE’ was released in November 2017. The DECADE World Tour promises a joyous trip down Memory Lane, to the music and song of yesteryear, this time performed in a contemporary style and arrangement which still remains true to the original.

Sail On: The Beach Boys Tribute

Sail On: The Beach Boys Tribute is set for Sunday, Sept. 8 at 4 p.m.

Sail On: The Beach Boys Tribute focuses on performing songs by America’s Band, The Beach Boys, to sheer perfection. Members of Sail On have performed with musicians from Brian Wilson’s band, The Zombies, Earth Wind and Fire, Cheap Trick, Mark Lindsay and produced recordings for Micky Dolenz.

Arlo Guthrie

Arlo Guthrie will be on stage Wednesday, Oct. 16 at 8 p.m.

Legendary folk music icon, prolific singer – songwriter, and master storyteller, Arlo Guthrie performs his Alice’s Restaurant Back By Popular Demand Tour. When Guthrie took to the road to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of his seminal song “Alice’s Restaurant Massacre,” he was incredibly moved by the feedback from enthusiastic fans. Back by popular demand, Arlo Guthrie performs one of America’s greatest musical treasures, “Alice’s Restaurant.” After almost 60 years of shows, Arlo Guthrie remains a road warrior. Opening for Arlo will be Sarah Lee Guthrie. For one night only, see this iconic figure in folk music. Arlo played the Egyptian Theatre on Sept. 10, 1990. In celebration of the Egyptian Theatre’s 90th Anniversary they welcome Arlo back to their stage.

Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis Tribute Show

The Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis Tribute Show is set for Friday, Oct. 25 at 8 p.m.

Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis were the hottest act in America during the early 50’s. Dean of course, the straight man, with a charming voice and Jerry the lovable goof ball added the comedy. Never have two artists captured the look, the sound, the very essence and chemistry of these two “Icons” more than Tom Stevens and Tony Lewis. You don’t want to miss this evening of unpredictable hysterical music and laughter.
