PAW PAW –The first ever Paw Paw Poker Run received permission to use Rogers Park and Lions Park as stations in the poker run, which will be held July 15, it was learned at the April 12 meeting of the Paw Paw Village Board.

Some of the Board members were able to tour with Mark Clayton around the village, to various areas that need maintenance and/or upkeep - lift stations, sewer ponds, well houses and buildings, to prioritize repairs needed.

Sidewalk repairs will be undertaken as weather permits.

City-wide garage sales will be April 21-22. For information or to get on the map, contact Amanda at 619-339-6747.

Village clean-up days will be as follows: south side of town (south of Chicago Road) on Monday, April 24; north side of town (north of Chicago Road) on Tuesday April 25. Tires, paint, hazardous materials, or e-waste will not be picked up.

The Village has designated the month of May as “Motorcycle Awareness Month."

The Garden Club will have its annual plant sale Saturday, May 6, at the Community Building. Breakfast will be served by the Paw Paw TRIBE61353.

Besides the flowers and hanging baskets, there will be over 13 crafters with items for the garden, soaps, lotions, candles, relishes, and woodcrafts. Free dog-nail trim with flower purchases.
